A New Path For Dr. Kramer

Dear Patients,

It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing a transition in my career.  Following recent life events, I have made the decision to step back from office-based clinical care and commit full time to emergency medicine.  While I have been blessed with the opportunity to work in both of these settings for 16 years, I look forward to continuing to serve the community I love in a more focused way.  I will continue to see patients at the Dodgeville and Mineral Point offices through August of 2018, and then exclusively through the emergency medical system moving forward.

My colleagues and I at the Mineral Point Medical Center as well as the leadership staff of Upland Hills Health are working together to make this a stable transition.  I would like to thank them for their collegiality, leadership, and support as we all navigate through a challenging and evolving health care environment.  Our community is served by outstanding providers including many who continue to provide exceptional primary care.

I owe a world of gratitude to my MPMC clinic partners; Doctors Sarah Fox, Gordon Grieshaber, Gary Grunow, and Jodi McGraw, as well as our advanced practitioners Mindy Thomas, Matt Benish, Chelsey Wallace-Bawden, and Angie Sorg.  You are extraordinary clinicians and true friends and I applaud you for your tireless service.  Thank you to the support staff of the MPMC; you are just outstanding, dedicated people and you work incredibly hard at what you do so well.  I also want to thank Andrea Kinch for her remarkable leadership as the clinic manager.  A special thank you goes out to Doctors Everett Lindsey and Mark Bishop, and former clinic manager Mary Walrack who established the Mineral Point Medical Center and gave me the opportunity to join a medical practice built on exceptional patient care, moral character, and high values.

Finally, I want to thank all of the patients that I have seen through the years at the clinic.  Thank you for teaching me about humility, vulnerability, adversity, and compassion, and thank you for entrusting me to do my best caring for you and your families.

Kent Kramer, M.D.
